Since the Champions League began, no side has been able to win it two years in a row. That may well be a record that is consigned to history when Real Madrid bid to retain their title against Juventus. They have already won the World Club Championship and La Liga so this could prove to be the most successful season ever for Real. However, Juventus are in their second final in three years and will prove a tough team to crack.

Real Madrid arenít known for playing in too many dull games. Itís usually the exact opposite with their being plenty of goals scored and a fair few going in at the other end too. This is a totally different game for Real though, they dominate most of the teams in La Liga but thatís not going to be the case in Cardiff. So far in the Champions League this season, the Spanish side have scored 32 goals but conceded 17 but I just canít see this game being a high-scoring one. Why? Well Juventus just donít seem to get involved in those kind of games, they are a good old-fashioned Italian side who certainly know how to defend.
12 Juventus games in the Champions League have produced 24 goals and they have conceded just three goals. Even more impressive is the fact that high-scoring Barcelona and Monaco could only manage one goal against them in four games. Eight of 12 Juventus games in the Champions League have had under 2.5 goals scored in them as have six of the last nine finals. If you bet on under 2.5 goals in this game, thatís 4/6 at Bet365. If you place a bet on this game with Bet365 and the match ends 0-0, then you will receive your pre-match stake on a correct score, Half-Time/Full-Time or Scorecast bet back as a free bet.
Itís been another successful season for Cristiano Ronaldo but heís not the leading scorer in this yearís Champions League. Heís one behind Lionel Messi. Heís scored an amazing eight goals in his last four Champions League games including consecutive hat-tricks against Bayern Munich and Atletico Madrid. A bet on him being first goalscorer in this game is 10/3 at Bet365 and heís only 11/10 to score anytime and at least finish joint top goalscorer.
Real Madrid went 12 years without winning the Champions League but have won it twice in the past three years. Both of those victories were over Atletico Madrid and on each occasion, they had to go into extra time to win the trophy. Already this season Madrid have had to go into extra time to get past Bayern Munich in the quarter finals. Three of the last five finals have gone into extra-time and two have gone all the way to a penalty shoot-out. I wouldnít be surprised if that happened again. At Bet365 the odds of the game being won after extra time is 11/1 for Real and 12/1 for Juventus and itís 12/1 either winning on penalties, thatís where the best odds seem to lie in this match, especially with a tight final expected.
